An endearing & heart-warming animation, My Neighbour Totoro is rife with imagination, beauty and child-like innocence. One of Hayao Miyazaki's best works, the film doesn't tell a flashy tale full of swashbuckling action and pop-culture references, just a simple story of two young girls who move into the Japanese countryside with their dad. As they wait for their mum to leave the hospital, they befriend the tree spirits called Totoro's (mascot of Studio Ghibli), and what ensues is one of the best family films of all time.
