Motion Control impressions

When the Wii revolutionised gaming with it's waggle and Nintendo made lots of money, it was decided that motion control was the future of gaming. Four years later, Sony and Microsoft are finally catching up, releasing the Playstation Move and Microsoft Kinect. But which one is the best? Here's my impressions and ranking of each system; based on style, accuracy, innovation. games and price.

Playstation Move

Style
Really, Sony? To make your controller distinctive from the Wiimote, you make it shaped like a... well you know what it looks like. 2/10
Accuracy
Playstation Move is undoubtedly the most accurate of the 3. Using the controller and the camera, it can record your every move. 10/10
Innovation
Although I feel Sony wouldn't have made it all if it wasn't for the Wii, Sony has made 1:1 perfectly and for that they deserve a high score, because the Wii didn't deliver what was promised! 8/10
Games
The Playstation Move definitely has the potential to be great as the equipment is very accurate, but the games that have come out are mostly bad. Sports Champions feels too similar to Wii Sports, Tumble and Racquet Sports are terrible and honestly, WTF is Kung Fu Rider? Although EyePet is a lot of fun, the launch titles just are disappointing. 4/10
Price
Until they start making a lot more better games, the Playstation Move just doesn't seem that worth it. 6/10
Overall: 6/10

Microsoft Kinect

Style: Simple and sleek; at least it doesn't look like a d***o. 8/10
Accuracy: Although there is often lag, the system works well for the most part. 8/10
Innovation: Although Microsoft probably got the idea from Minority Report, Kinect looks to be very innovative for the gaming industry with its controller-less approach. 9/10
Games: Like Move, Kinect has family-orientated games, but they're better overall. 6/10
Price: As the launch line-up isn't in the must-buy zone, I'll wait until the big games come out before I consider spending the $200. 6/10
Overall: 7.4

Nintendo Wii

Style: Due to it's incredibly popularity, the Wii has become instantly recognizable. The Black Wii also looks awesome. 9/10
Accuracy: When the Wii first came out, there was waggle. Lot's of waggle. The Wii MotionPlus changed that, but the Wii is still the king of waggle. 4/10
Innovation: If it wasn't for the Wii, the motion control revolution wouldn't even exist. 10/10
Games: Over 4 years, the Wii has had some software that utilises the Wiimote in brilliant ways, such as Metroid Prime Trilogy, Zack and Wiki, Tiger Wood's PGA 10 and World of Goo, but there is still a lot of crappy family games, which bring the score down. 8/10
Price: The Wii has more value than Kinect and Move considering more games have come out in it's 4 years, but it still needs a price cut or a HD upgrade to be good for hardcore gamers. 7/10.
Overall: 7.6

So as you can see, the Wii narrowly wins this competition. Of course, once the other systems have aged a little more, these results could be completely different, but right now Kinect and PS Move aren't doing enough for me. BTW I like all the systems, so please don't think I am biased towards Nintendo.
